Insurance and Billing
Comprehensive Pain Management Center is a state-licensed, accredited ambulatory surgical facility and a subsidiary of Pain Management Specialists, which is owned in whole by Drs. Stuart Hough and Ramani Peruvemba. When you have a procedure at Comprehensive Pain Management Center, your insurance will be billed for both a physician's fee, also known as a "professional fee," and a surgery center fee, also known as a "facility fee." This is no different from when you have a procedure or surgery performed at a hospital. Depending on your particular insurance plan, you may have separate copays or coinsurance for professional and facility fees. Comprehensive Pain Management Center accepts Medicare, worker's compensation and many popular health insurance plans, but not all of them. You may need to meet a separate out-of-network deductible or pay higher coinsurance if Comprehensive Pain Management Center is not a participating facility in your plan. Comprehensive Pain Management Center offers discounted facility fees to those whose insurance does not cover out of network benefits if they are paid in full at the time of service. We also offer payment plans to help patients pay higher balances over a period of time.
We always verify your insurance coverage prior to your appointment so there are no surprises, and we work diligently with your insurance plan to authorize any medically necessary procedures. If you are responsible for a copayment, coinsurance and/or a deductible, this will be collected at the time of service.
